The basic operation of Steering Gear is that a driver operate the steering wheel and the revolution is transmitted to a valve through steering shaft and pinion makes tie rod move with Rack Bar to desired direction.

Power Steering is operating Rack Bar by oil pressure and Manual Steering is operating by only gear.

Now days, most of automobiles are equipped with Power Steering.

Valve controls steering oil way to open or close and Housing which has the valve in controls oil way with connection all of pipe. These are very important parts of Power Steering.
